A fantastic aroma.
This calamus root oil is buttery, nutty, with cinnamon and cassia-like notes. I don't detect any benzoin at all, actually, so its listing eludes me. It smells like its straight up Calamus. As a fixative, a little goes a long way, so use just a few drops in an incense, oriental, or gourmand blend. This is true-blue sweet flag as far as my nose is concerned, so use sparingly and lovingly. Great for anointing blends as well. Be advised that this is likely Asian and not North American derived, for those who are concerned about the controversial beta-asarone content. This calamus root oil is buttery, nutty, with cinnamon and cassia-like notes. Calalmus Oil
I bought this not understanding what it would smell like but it did not have a pleasant scent. Yet it is what I asked for and I have no complaints about the quality of the product. It came quickly and I appreciate that as well as the low price.I bought this not understanding what it would smell like but it did not have a pleasant scent. Surprised
I didn't know what it was going to smell like. When i first smelled it, i thought it was awful, yet it weirdly attracted me so i went ahead and experimented with it. Time and other essential oils tames it, and it has become my favorite one. It has an animal like scent that is very interesting to work with.I didn't know what it was going to smell like. Great prices and Quality herbs.
I bought during a sale so I got s sampler of many things. The piping rock brand is of quality for both their herbs and their other items like the lip balms and essential oil rollers and sprays. Only thing I didn’t appreciate was the Benzoin oil. It did not smell anything like any natural Benzoin I had ever experienced.I bought during a sale so I got s sampler of many things.
